HOW IT HAPPENED

The Panthers tied the ballgame at two before the Little Giants returned to reclaim their advantage in the second inning. Galanos scored the lone run of the inning for Wabash to put the Little Giants up 3-2.

Wabash's lead had evaporated in the bottom of the second after Hanover plated a pair of runs to claim a 4-3 lead. The Panthers added three more runs in the third inning off reliever Derek Haslett, who pitched 1-2/3 innings of three-hit baseball with three walks and three strikeouts. The Panthers added another run in the fifth to move in front 8-3.

The Little Giants cut that deficit to 8-6. Patton's bases-clearing double drove in all three runs for the Little Giants. Hanover answered by adding one run in the bottom of the eight for the 9-6 final.
